Version: Kontakt 5.8.1 / NCW / V1
4.6GB Powerful Kontakt Library
Download Method: Kontakt Hub
Volt is a 4.6 GB library of high quality synthesizer sounds and comes with 130 snapshots.
Volt ships with a wide variety of sounds ranging from: pads and strings, atmospheric synth textures, bass, leads, arpeggiator synths, abstract fx and textures, MIDI clocked pulsing synths and atmospheres.
Volt is suitable for most types of electronic music production from Ambient, Abstract, Chill-Out and EDM. Volt would also be perfect for writing killer breakdowns in your next EDM club hit.
During the making of the presets we realised just how versatile Volt is. A whole cinematic soundtrack suitable for modern film scoring could easily be created using Volt, it also excels at creating atmospheres and mood.
PLEASE NOTE: You MUST have the FULL version of Kontakt 5.8.1 to use Volt - Not compatible with Kontakt Player
Volt has a special Volt Meter dial that is the centre of the action. Most of the controls on the front panel can be controlled by the movement of the Volt Meter.
Simply select from the front panel which controls are to be controlled by Volt Meter and then select the depth/range of the control - Moving the voltmeter will then control those active dials. You can also assign the Volt Meter to your Modwheel or any other external controller dial and control many dials with the Volt Meter.
Most of the included snapshots have already been setup to respond to the Volt Meter - Give it a whirl and experiment.
It is easy to create stunning patches with Volt, and by clicking the Volt symbol in the centre of the interface you can randomise patches and let the chaos of the universe play a hand in the sounds you make.
Good but tricky to authorize
Straight-forward, sounds good, nice interface for quickly creating and using sounds
Big-knob variant with familiar two-voice, single-tab, subtractive interface that is nicely setup and laid out to quickly and easily manipulate and generate sounds---and the grey-on-grey interface is legible!
Read the Kontakt Hub page info and watch the first 90 seconds of the video and you should be up and running. Some nice additional features: ADSR resonance controls; Big-knob (dial) parameter selection, ranging and direction (nice---missing on too many other synths); lots of choices for filter-type; and it seems like MIDI-learn works on every little thing.
The randomization feature nicely manipulates the voice parameters and leaves the central panel and efx section alone (nice for generating new sounds in the same "space"). There are a lot of good-sounding factory snapshots and they cover a wide sonic territory.
I found myself spending a lot of time repeatedly randomizing any given factory snapshot and saving a lot of the resulting sounds as new snapshots. I don't know if it's the addition of an envelope (ADSR) to the resonance but switching in the (performance) arpeggiation can result in more-than-expected sound variations.
There's a lot of competition for this type of synth but this one is nicely done and attractively priced.
satisfied customer - recomended purchase and looking forward your to next release thanks
Yeah, really pleased with it. Very easy to coax some lovely sounds from this. I found setup to be really easy, and just placed snapshots in the folder and was good to go. The supplied snapshots are a good source of many varied and interesting sounds and just hitting the randomise button nearly always comes up with something interesting. The volt control is also fun and I mapped my modulation wheel to it which worked really well.A great collection of samples, great interface, fun to use volt control and extra kudos for the cheap price make it a no brainer purchase.Nice one.
Volt is one of the useful ones
Volt has a nice looking interface and has up to date sounds. If you are a little overwhelmed by all the "vintage junk that is on offer elsewhere and want useful vs vintage this is a good pick
One of my personal favourites for a genuine but warm synth sound for Kontakt.
