Product Overview

Esper Synth sets out to accurately re-create some of the most iconic sounds heard from Vangelis' iconic Bladerunner score such as the awesome brassy lead and pad found in "Main Titles" and "Blade Runner Blues."

This library was recorded from an actual CS80 synth, Vangelis' signature sound.

Bladerunner Inspired

Bladerunner is a film which any self respecting film buff will tell you is a masterpiece due to many factors including the mesmerizing synth score by mastermind composer Vangelis.  As composers, we've all sought the perfect recreation of the lead sound which defined this score, well look no further, the brass lead which permeates the Bladerunner score has been UnEarthed!

This isn't a synth recreation, or samples taken from the soundtrack.  Esper Synth is sampled directly from patches painstakingly re-created on an actual CS 80 synth which is, in essence, the sound of Bladerunner.  The brass leads are the highlight of the library and are extremely playable out of the box.  No knob turning, no digging for the perfect reverb, just load and play. EVERYTHING heard in the demos below is from Esper Synth, even the percussion.

There are 5 versions of "the" brassy lead sound, 4 pads, 2 bell instruments, and even a HUGE offworld percussion section (inspired by the bladerunner main title cue) with reverb baked in.  12 patches in total.   This library is wonderful for Bladerunner fans or your next scifi score.  Curious just how close we got in this re-creation experiment?  Just check out the demos to the right!  Everything heard is from Esper Synth.

In most cases, the volume of each patch is mapped directly to the modwheel for easy dynamic control (so remember to tweak the modwheel if you're not hearing anything!).  The Noir Sci-fi styled GUI contains controls for LOW, MID, and HI EQ as well as attack / release sliders, a reverb / space control knob, and a button to turn the patch from poly to monophonic if you're after authenticity.

Wake's time to play!

Being a big fan of all things Blade Runner, as well as a huge Vanglis fan, this one really caught my eye.

Esper Noir captures near on perfectly that original synth sound used by Vangelis on the score of the Blade Runner move..and also includes drum hit sounds, that sound amazing, too.

I used Esper Noir a lot on a number of tribute tracks I produced for the Blade Runner tribute album "HOMMAGE".

This thing is beautiful. I wrote 3 tracks and it's been less than a day since I purchased this. Full of inspiration, worth every penny. Bravo, Unearthed !

Near perfect!

I've been looking for a kontakt library that oozes Blade Runner/Vangelis, and I finally found it!

Perfect if you want that deep 80's sci-fi sound!

Only thing is i wanted a bit more presets!

So a strong 8/10!

Simply Awesome

This is a great library. It says what it does on the tin and you get exactly what you are paying for - great CS80 synth sounds that Vangelis would be proud of. I purchased this solely for the purpose of writing a Sci-Fi score inspired by the classic Blade Runner soundtrack but found myself immediately using the synth to add layers to an orchestra in a showreel that I was composing for an online Media Company.
It's an awesome Kontakt library and at the sale price (or even full price) is an absolute bargain.

Great Work Here!

I love this library for CS-80 sounds. The developer captured the Blade Runner feel extremely well. The other libraries from unEarthed are great too! I dins this library to have matched the Vangelis most closely IMO, however I'm sure there's some who will disagree. I have really been enjoying everything I have bought from unEarthed.
