Product Overview

Pure continues the theme of pads, but with Pure we delve into the world of nice and pure sounds.
With Pure we’ve included rhythmic loops.

Pure comes with 170 non Rhythmic patches and 121 Rythmic patches. 2.47gb ziped download.

We tried the sounds of Pure and Dark with rhythms and thought they sounded really good, so we’ve included loops and we intend to expand on the loops to complement the pads.

Sounds good; Straight-forward GUI; Good bargain---even better so in the bundle.

Pure shares a common interface and features with Pads and Dark, two other members of the Insusurro Bundle. My opinion is that Pure is the library of the bundle that emphasizes melodic/lead patches. There are also rhythmic patches. There is no manual for operation or features but the interface is generally very straight-forward. Sliders control the two anonymous voice levels. The voices are part of a patch and not individually selectable---new patches cannot be created by swapping individual voices. However, each voice has three leveled envelopes (Amp, LoPass, HiPass) and filter controls, so voices can be tweaked and mixed with their master sliders for patch variations. The one-page GUI is well-designed and nicely color-coordinated. The synth parameter buttons only change the display; they do not turn parameters on/off; you must zero-out the appropriate control to nullify a synth parameter. I found this to not be especially inconvenient because of the overall clean design of the one-page GUI. The EFX selection buttons do include a smaller On/Off button. Effects are master and have a quick routing system (simply re-arrange the buttons). Patches sound good and load quickly. Rhythmic patches are not named, just numbered. It has keytrack and velocity adjustments for performance. The entire bundle of four libraries has over 2200 patches and expansions are available. Five stars for the combination of bundle value (sale price), ease of use, number of patches, and sound.
