Homegrown Sounds specializes in Advanced Kontakt Instruments that behave more like VST Instruments than Sample libraries. There is often a focus on exploring Sequencing both in terms of producing Rhythmic Content and also as a way of creating Atmospheric Instruments which utilize lots of Movement. There is a strong focus on creating Instruments that are new and unique in terms of both sound and behaviour.
There is always a strong focus on Randomization with each Instrument having it’s own Global and localized tuned randomizers to provide useful Results. All Instruments also contain an internal Preset System as well as a customizable Default File which is used as the base for the many Default buttons. Presets are not primarily what the Instruments are about, the focus on Randomization makes it easy to generate something unique with ease as a source of inspiration.
Homegrown Sounds began in 2003 producing Sample CDs, moving on to VST Design in 2005 and began releasing scripted Kontakt Instruments around 2011.
